TRIP ITINERARY

We'll get started as early as you can handle, with pickup at any location in Jerusalem or Gush Etzion. Pickup in other locations available for an additional fee. The earlier the start, the more we can do!

Morning

The day will start with a 1.5 hour drive to the northernmost city on route 60, Shechem. We will drive up Mt. Gerizim and look down into the ancient city, reading verses about Abraham’s entrance into the land. Along the way we will see Joseph’s tomb and the home of the Samaritans.

We will continue our journey headed south to Beit El, where Abraham received the promise of a covenant from God.

To finish the morning we will head back into Jerusalem and enjoy a breathtaking view over the Temple Mount, site of the binding of Isaac, and then we will continue to the south into the Judean hills.

Lunch

For lunch we will make a stop in Gush Etzion, where there are multiple options including a ‘humusiya,’ a great local cafe, an award winning winery, and an assortment of fast food joints (many with mehadrin kashrut).

...and unto Beer Sheva

After lunch we will continue to Hebron, where Abraham buried his wife Sarah, making the first purchase in the Land of Israel for his children. We will visit the eventual site of the burial of nearly all the patriarchs and matriarchs.

Time allowing we will continue on to Beer Sheva, where we will look down on the city where Abraham made a covenant with the king of Grar, essentially carving out the southern border of his future territory. If timing works out we may also be able to include a visit to the visitor’s center at Abraham’s Well in Beer Sheva.
