The Biblical patriarch Abraham traveled the length and breadth of the future Land of Israel. On this tour we are going to follow in his footsteps along today's route 60 (commonly known as 'The Path of the Patriarchs) from Biblical Shechem in the North, and heading south with stops in Beit El, Jerusalem overlooking the Temple Mount, Hebron including his final resting place, and time allowing all the way down to Beer Sheva where we will see the southernmost edge of his wanderings. Along the way we will be traversing the territory that comprises the heart of the kingdom's of Israel and Judah, the biblical breadbasket, and much more. It's a lot to pack into one day, but it's worth it! Come on an adventure!

Your guide is an Orthodox rabbi, with a wide and deep familiarity with the story of the area, the Jewish people, and the modern state. His expertise is connecting the story of the place, to the story of the Jewish people, and to you.


Since this is a private tour, you're the boss! You can change around any details to suit your preferences, stop in a park for an hour for the baby to take a nap if you like, extend or shorten the tour, and more. It's all up to you, and changes can even be made on the fly.

Safety First

All tours with Rabbi Eitan in Judea and Samaria are AT LEAST in rock proof vehicles, and can be done in bullet proof vehicles, for an additional cost, upon request. Rabbi Eitan is armed. So in the extremely unlikely event of an incident you can rest easy that every precaution has been taken.

Our pricing is transparent and simple. These prices are per/vehicle. They include transportation and guiding for the number of people specified. They do not include activity/entrance fees, food or lunch. Those fees can be done 'pay as you go,' or we can bill you for them before or after the tour. We'll get started as early as you can handle, with pickup at any location in Jerusalem or Gush Etzion. Pickup in other locations available for an additional fee. The earlier the start, the more we can do!


The day will start with a 1.5 hour drive to the northernmost city on route 60, Shechem. We will drive up Mt. Gerizim and look down into the ancient city, reading verses about Abraham’s entrance into the land. Along the way we will see Joseph’s tomb and the home of the Samaritans.

We will continue our journey headed south to Beit El, where Abraham received the promise of a covenant from God.

To finish the morning we will head back into Jerusalem and enjoy a breathtaking view over the Temple Mount, site of the binding of Isaac, and then we will continue to the south into the Judean hills.


For lunch we will make a stop in Gush Etzion, where there are multiple options including a ‘humusiya,’ a great local cafe, an award winning winery, and an assortment of fast food joints (many with mehadrin kashrut).

...and unto Beer Sheva

After lunch we will continue to Hebron, where Abraham buried his wife Sarah, making the first purchase in the Land of Israel for his children. We will visit the eventual site of the burial of nearly all the patriarchs and matriarchs.

Time allowing we will continue on to Beer Sheva, where we will look down on the city where Abraham made a covenant with the king of Grar, essentially carving out the southern border of his future territory. If timing works out we may also be able to include a visit to the visitor’s center at Abraham’s Well in Beer Sheva.
